Lake Mead National Recreation Area (NRA) is a playground for all seasons. Water sports of all kind thrive from early spring to late fall. Early Spring is a great time for hiking with the wildflowers blooming from Lake Mohave in the south up to the Virgin mountains in the north. Winter is the perfect time for photography, scenic drives and horseback riding. Late autumn is a great time for rock climbing and exploring the slot canyons that dot the park.
The photo montage below explores just some of the recreational opportunities available at Lake Mead NRA.
